Help!!! amp wiring.........
« on: May 16, 2014, 09:59:22 pm »
Hi

Just spent the evening pulling cables into my golf for a sub and amp. Have we lost light now so given up but wondered if anyone could advise my on the best place to earth the amp in the boot? Have pulled cables in on passenger side of boot so the earth Pont I found in drivers side is not really going to work! Also probably stupid question but does the remote cable go to the blue and white cable on head unit? All previous ones I've done have been labelled remote but this head unit (alpine unit) has nolabels!
Cheers

Drill a hole in the boot floor. (seriously).

Can't help with the remote cables as luckily one of my besties does all my audio work for me and made a plug and play loom for the amp. Maybe you can find a guide for your head unit online?

I put in a amp and a sub last weekend and connected the remote wire to the 12v supply in the front. I had my rear seats stripped out and the all the trim removed as I have a 3 door , my plan was to put speakers in as there was none as standard . However I'm missing something , more to the point while this was all of I earthed mine using a bolt that was holding some sort of bracket in place and tightened it down on that.
