It is expensive for what you get, not for what is does.  Also I didn't like their catch can design so I have now fitted one of these.

Someone over this side of the pond could make something like this.  Suprised Forge don't do it.  They already have a catch can.
Maybe if enough of you lot ask, they will make something.

Laser Blue with K04 power, APR hardware controlled by REVO 2+ software
Chassis by KW V3's, Whiteline and a hint of PRO race 1.2's
Brakes by Brembo 4 pots

Do you have a pic with the new can installed?

Cheers for that.  :happy2:

Being able to see the level of the can's content is a big plus.

^^^^
That looks pretty tidy.

The only problem I can see is if the can competes for location with some aftermarket intake filters.

well there's no chance of jonnyc fitting that catch can in that position in his engine bay, now that he has a monster air filter filling up that space lol.

but looks a tidy set up tho.

If I wanted to vent to atmosphere would I just run 2 pipes from the valves on the block?  Is one of the valves not a return? If so then could I not just block one up?

BSH are going to release a race catch can that does exactly what you are after. It's actually in the pre-order phase.

Be aware that you may not pass your emissions test in the MOT with it installed.

I believe the race set up blocks off the port to the far left in the pic below. That port is used for allowing  the crank case pressure to be vented back into the intake.

How often do you have to empty the can?

Also the guys in the states talk about cleaning the intake valves using sea foam... Anybody tried this?

US-spec engines aren't properly lean burn as well are they?

No, they aren't set up for stratified mode as they have high sulphur fuel.

An they also use considerably lower spec oils, which are neither 'FSI' approved, and nor are they low SAPS.
