Absolutely amazing film. Highly recommended watch.

It made me throw up a little when they jump (u'll see)

This film joins We Were Soldiers and Black Hawk Down as some of the very few films I can happily watch time and time again.

I agree, it's a great watch.

I'm a bit of a geek and it made me read into Operation Red Wings and bloody hell, it's a good job they bent the truth a bit for the film!

It's a great touch at the end of the film having the stills of the real gents, very touching! :notworthy:

One of the best films I've ever seen and yeah that montage of photos was a nice touch, made me well up.

People were pissing me off on Twatter bitching about the uniforms/helmets/equipment being of the wrong period as the ones used were not around in 2005, oh fu*k off and find a road to play it.

It would be interesting to see a film made from the oppositions viewpoint,I guess Hollywood won't be doing one soon.

By opposition do you mean the people or Iraq/Afghanistan? Or the Taliban? Or both?

I think it would be hard to get into the mindset of killing innocent people and setting up IEDs??

If Hollywood made a film from the talibans point of view, I can imagine it causing more tension and them perceiving it as being racist/against muslims.

No I meant the three films mentioned so Vietnamese,Somalians and Afghans or just collectively you can say the people who's country was invaded by America.

There are a few mate where you see it from their point of view, but its never for very long

From books I've read, half of them are happy to see the American troops etc, but half of them hate them

saw this film myself over the weekend. compelling viewing. they jumped off the mountain as we would jump off sand dunes - truly amazing and beyond anything even half resembling normal.
