Managed to get a few little jobs done over the past few weeks.

Tried in vain to get my hands to fit in the hole for changing the sidelight bulbs, sadly, as my hands are massive I had to give up and I didn't fancy taking the bumper off so I went cap in hand to the local Stealers. Paid £1.76 for two new bulbs from them and then got the tiny handed mechanic to put in my LED bulbs instead.

Also fitted the drivers side folding wing mirror and control module, I'm still not convinced that my door card is back on properly, but everything seems to be working ok, so that will do for me. Rain stopped play before I could fit the passengers side mirror, but hopefully Monday will be clear.  Whilst the door card was off I fitted a chrome tipped fuel release flap button to complete the set.

This week I'm hoping to get over to see @Matto to get my "Check Brake Pads" warning coded out and a few tweaks with his VCDS. Fingers crossed that soon I will have my boot pop enabled, footwell lights turned on and, if my CECM is compatible, cornering fogs too.

As always any comments or suggestions welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Both folding mirrors now fitted, as Im sure you all know, they dont fold in that much, but I like having them.

I used these guides to help with the install, first one I did (drivers side) took a lot longer than the passengers side, but once I knew where all the screws went the second side went on a lot quicker.

Next mod is the Mk6 climate control panel, does anyone know the name of the tool l need to remove/swap the wires around on the connector block?

Went to see @Matto today. Got my Boot Pop mod coded in, along with anti-hijack and one touch closing. Will put vids up in the next few days hopefully of the boot pop and the folding mirrors. I know we have all seen them before, but not on my car.

Fitted my underseat drawer this morning. Easy job following the instructions from here : http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5009175-Installed-OEM-under-seat-drawers
As a Brucey Bonus I found over £5 in loose change under the seat!  :happy2:
Looking for a passengers side drawer now to complete the set.

Went on eBay and bought some interior door grab handles to replace my tatty knackered old ones. Will be fitting them today so will upload some pics. After that Im going to attempt to update the firmware on my DNX521 DAB.

Also managed to source an underseat drawer for the passenger seat for £25.

Its the little touches.

Tidying up the interior between jobs today so only got 1 door handle changed.

Manky tatty old door grab handle.

New smooth door handle.

Looks much better, passenger side next.

Whilst washing the car the other day I felt a bit of bubbling on the rear wheel arches, after a bit of online research I've found that this is not a "common" problem, but has happened a fair few times.  I took the car to my local dealer (TL Darby in Burton on Trent) for their body shop to inspect and the guy there did agree that it was "odd" for it to be happening on both sides, but then informed me that their body shop didn't deal with warranty claims. Brilliant!

I will be taking my car to VW Parkway in Derby asap for them to take a look at it and will report back with what happens. My wing warranty claim was dealt with by Parkway so I'm hoping for a similar result.
