I didnt think it got any worse
« on: May 12, 2014, 03:29:35 pm »
So my currently daily car is a 107...its slow, has zero features and isnt fun to drive.

I thought that car was the worse it could get....but no.

the other day someone crashed into me so they have provided me with a car while mines in the shop.

I present the Spark.

There are literally no redeeming features of the spark. Its rubbish. Slow. It feels like they put 5seconds into deciding the seating position, 3of those were in breaths. The power is delivered sporadically. You may have a steering wheel but it isn't connected to the wheels, its connected to a bottle of water which then decides what the wheels do.

Its going to sit on the drive until my car is returned.

I actually MISS the 107 and I have only done 4miles.

I had one of these as a courtesy car for a few weeks. Theyre horrible; tinny, unstable, slow and above all far too small for a man of my stature. Ok, lm tall and a fair size, but not in a freakish "look at the giant" kind of way.

My Mrs has a 107. It's a thrumy little engine but is quite a fun city car. Gets a bit lost on the motorway though, and hills require planning in advance

On that rare occasion where I used to boot it down the bypass on my way home on a Saturday morning yes i miss it massively. Or when people pull out on me and im sure they would have never pulled out on the golf.

However I put £40 in a month in fuel rather than £120.

It was £20 to tax rather than £260

It was £117 to insure.

I have a load of cash sat in an ISA.

Plus i get to look around and decide what my next car will be!

Its a daily mental battle if I did the right thing or not lol

I had a 107 as a courtesy car years bad, 3 cylinder jobby, it used to rev so hard that all the pistons would come out & do a little dance on the bonnett and then I'd change gear, 70 in second gear downhilll..... Probably didn't last long after I had it  :driver:

Try a 208, gearbox was akin to a quickshot 2 joystick on a Commodore 64 for those who can remember

Worst car I have driven in a while was glad to get back in the Polo

I've got the new gen i10 as a demo from work for the next two weeks (I work in fleet management) it is actually quite a good car to be fair. the charcoal & tan interior in this one  is pretty funky too!

I've purchased one, a premium 1.2 will all options ticked, it's such a huge improvement on the last version.
Mine has the blue /black interior.

Can't praise it highly enough!, it even comes with a heated leather steering wheel and voice recognition Bluetooth phone kit , for a city car for just 10k... Bonkers value. :happy2:

More options on that then my high spec Ed30!
