+1 for revo R-Tech map

That's better!  (R-Tech fanboy in da house!!)

Oh and OP, cause its worth it. Transforms your car no end. Get a stage 1 map, enjoy it and go from there.

Happy modding.  :happy2:

I wouldn't remap either , but was persuaded by the hype on here about the difference in performance . So i did to see what the hype was about , it was a secondhand bluefin bought off here . Yes it made a difference but hardly that noticeable from 230 - 290ish . It was way too easy to be silly and i took it off as it was rarely going to be of any benefit to me (Bear in mind i did 7000 miles in 3.5 years) No motorways in Suffolk either .

My sons car is a standard GTI and there is really no real difference in legal performance between his GTI and my ED30 , he has opportunity to get his remapped for £50 or so at AKS as Alex has the remap sitting on his computer as my sons car was previously remapped , my sons 22 and he doesn't feel the need either . Neither of us use our cars other than on the Road .

Isn't a Remap just something to boast about anyway ?

A decent remap isn't ALL about power. I liked the anti-jerk mapping for crawling in traffic (not sure if all tuners offer this), the linear throttle makes the power more controllable, and the extra throttle response makes the drive even sharper. Some members have reported better MPG also.

I went in an R-Tech tuned ed30 few weeks ago and it was so so much smoother than my stock ed30, it's actually nicer to pootle around town with that than mine.

A properly setup car should be usable without being a handful to drive. . . Saintsteve found the bluefin on his ed30 very aggressive and difficult to use in low gears as the torque delivery just gave masses of wheelspin
