BCS Prestige exhaust
« on: May 16, 2014, 10:08:36 pm »
So I fitted the BCS prestige system cat-back system today which mated to my blueflame hi-flow cat/down-pipe with the minimum of effort.
The blueflame had always been fantastic in terms of performance but my wife had always disliked the noise on wide-open throttle so the promise of a quieter performance system sounded ideal in terms of her needs and my original brief for a Q car.
Fortunately I was able to take advantage of the group buy a little while ago and today I got to fit the cat-back system as part of the annual service.

Looks
the tailpipes are smaller than the Blueflame but bigger than standard - perfect.

Sound
An entirely personal thing but the car has muted the growl that plagued it when accelerating (when combined with the ITG). Now it's a more constant note albeit still deeper than standard. The best aspect is the absence of pitch change and marginal noise increase as the revs rise.

Performance
Based on the last 60 miles or so, it appears just as good as the blueflame.

Quality
The blueflame was fantastic (I've cleaned it up and sold it already), this appears to be just as good in terms of weld quality so should provide many years of discreet, stage2+ driving.

Will have to dig out a photo. It does look like the standard bcs system though.

Here's a shot of the prestige on my car. Pipes are smaller than Blueflame and arguably more o/e look.
