Porsche Brake Caliper Decals
« on: May 17, 2014, 11:58:14 pm »
I've managed to get hold of a NQSBBK on the forums and I'm looking to tidy up the calipers a bit before putting them on the car. I'm aware a few usually come up on ebay but I'm basically looking to get 90mm wide Porsche decals suitable for brake calipers and was wondering if anyone out there can advise a reliable place to look for good quality decals or if anyone's had experience buying from a certain site which they could advise at all. A couple of ebay listings give you a bunch of sizes but I don't see the point in getting 3 different sized pairs when I'm only looking for one size anyways.

I hope someone can help me out!

Thanks mate, I dropped him an email via the site and on the email address i saw on the forum which Dave B posted (albeit a while ago) but had no reply since. Didn't want to be the guy who keeps emailing and pestering the guy haha. Was thinking about if they could do their 'swap' service then that'd definitely be something I'd be interested in...

Jonny is uber busy by the look of all his work on Facebook. The swap option is your best bet if he has some to swap. He did mine and I've had mine on for over 1 and 1/2 years now and still look like new. Get him to Ceramic Coat them too if you go down the refurb route.

Pic of mine, taken only yesterday....

Those look awesome mate. Where abouts is he based do you know? Bought my set off biano who had his done by jonny but theyre in black and i wanted to get them in red tbh, just couldnt pass on the opportunity of getting the full setup in one go. Not sure i can afford a full refurb right not as im planning on getting some alloys but il try get in touch with jonny somehow. Best to get these done properly too! Is it best to just hold fire emailing him? Might have a look if he has a contact number on his fb page.

Not sure where they are. Can't remember where I posted the calipers too.  :ashamed:

I'd try emailing again and I'm sure he will get back to you. Also worth trying via Facebook.

All in I spent around £900 (including fitting) so if you get them bought, refurb'd and fitted you've got a bargain.

Can't remember but it was no more than 2 hours labour (max) with swapping them over from the OEM ones but in my case that also included fitting new discs and a brake fluid change at the same time.

Tires are treated with the Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss Tyre Protection Gel. Ive found its best applied once you've done with car for the day which allows time for it to cure overnight and hopefully that will reduce the gel from splashing up the paintwork plus it should help last a wee bit longer.

^^^^ Friend of mine used them, good service, quick turnaround and good prices especially if your doing front and rears.
