making my standard seats heated?

anyone done this? i have standard gti seats

as far as i know i need

seat heating pads
dash control bits
maybe a wiring loom? althouggh i suspect that the loom is already there.

I tried to price this with VW and the heated element is part of the seat cover and came out at around the £600 mark. Not sure about the loom etc!  :happy2:

I know where it is but what it looks like???

Push your seat back as far as it will go and there is a plastic cover which can be unclipped and it should reveal the connections that the plug for the seat would fit into.

wouldnt it be there tho? i mean wouldnt vw put it in all cars? as they run the loom for the seat anyway....
