Not a Golf, but a Leon FR
« on: May 19, 2014, 11:37:16 am »
Hi all,

I'm not a Golf owner but a 2007 Seat Leon FR DSG with 2.0 TFSI, which is basically the same engine, gearbox and suspension of a Golf MK5 GTI.

Love the car so far (2 months), but I still miss my previous car (Megane 225)

Will post some pics soon. I love modifying cars, so I might start a progress thread soon also.

Before I bought the BSH I tried to fit my BMC CDA air box to the existing engine cover.

I removed the originals air filter and sealed the two parts

Little louder then stock but not a lot.
I did get a whistle noise when on full load between 2500-5000 rpm

Thanks woosh, the plan is to somehow reach 300hp.

I guess that will take intake, stage 3 REVO, K04 conversion, and downpipe with decat and full exhaust.

So already got the intake, the cat has been hollowed out by the previous owner, so at the moment I'm debating with my self whether to go stage 1 or 2 from REVO.

Anyone can comment if stage 2 is worth it or maybe post a graph of a comparison between stage 1 and 2

Its been raining like crazy these few weeks so I got scared that the BSH open cone filter might suck in some water and fitted the BMC to the bsh pipe

If your going for the KO4 conversion may aswell go stage 2+ should see around the 340bhp mark with the right tuner.

"The right tuner" is a problem where I live.
There is only 2 dyno's in whole country. And I wouldn't trust anyone with my car.
So only choice is a friend that became a Revo dealer.
As I understood K04 conversion comes with Stage 3 software.
Also he said that we will do a setup with his Revo SPS.
Is it worth getting an SPS on my own?

Ye I know the feeling about not trusting anyone with my car, if Revo is available to you its a decent tuner to use. With Revo SPS I don't own 1 to give any feedback on this but check the Revo Zone on here might find some useful information.
