Wheel offset + brake clearance
« on: May 21, 2014, 04:53:29 pm »
I'm rubbish when it comes to wheel offsets.

I basically need to know if a 19x8.5 ET38 will clear TTRS front brakes.

Anybody out there that can help me out?

I'd say they would clear the brakes no problem, but if you lowered then you might have rubbing issuse's unless you have a good bit of stretch

Offset and width play almost no factor in brake clearance.
It's down to the design of the wheels and the spokes.

Stepped designs or split rim wheels generally have less. Wheels in which the spokes go outwards (EG Rota Grids) provide more brake clearance.

I thought it might have been down to the design. I suppose I'll need to test fit them.

Thanks guys
