How low you wanna go really depends on you tbh, if you wanna stay practical and don't want scrubbing issues probably about 30mm or if you don't care then slam it. Get a decent set of coilovers and find what works for you mate.

Hi mate

Depends really on what the roads are like around your area and also what path you'll be taking with your car I.e. Scene queen or fast road/track car + also what your budget is.

I wouldn't lower it too much because as said above the practicability of the car goes out the window

Mainly for looks, want arches to be filled a little more, I'm thinking getting spacers too, want the wheels to look more flush with the arches/sides, 10mm hub centrics?

10 or maybe 12mm spacers would be a nice touch, you'll need longer wheel bolts aswell with those. 40mm bolts I believe.

Personally wouldn't go mad on it -OEM look is best IMHO
Personal taste I know but there are some horrendous cars out there that have been destroyed by people

Myself I was on the M3 e46 forum and some "interesting"cars out there, consensus on there was oem all the way

Looks so clean standard

springs are cheaper right? I saw some eibach springs for around 299 fitted at AMD in Essex, the guys there are very nice people, had my car serviced there too

Eibach £299 fitted

AP coilovers £602.00 Fitted

what would you recommend peeps

ideally want it lowered for a better look, not too low but like the above posts I want to just fill the arches a little more,

In all honesty mate I'd get coilovers for looks because if you went for springs Youde only change them with in months for more 'lows' and 'fitment' assuming this is route you are heading down, the scene fitment route.

Save and get good coilovers..!I have eibach sportlines which lowers 50mm front 35mm rear and it's not enough...still  very practical at this height but I would say it still needs 10/20mm extra to look quality..!

Had mine done at amd Essex, very good service. They ordered the wrong springs first off, ended up with H&R with a bit if discount. Not long after mine were settling in one of the outer cv gaitor needed replacing. I think, possible cause if lowering so I was told. A

This ^. Going too low is going to make what is already quite a firm ride, quite harsh. Personally anything more than 30mm dropped looks silly.

Agreed 30mm for practicality is perfect, anything less is for show and slow driving
