Map reading / interior dome
« on: June 01, 2014, 03:16:15 pm »
As some of you may have read my map reading light does not work unless the switch is pushed meaning they do not light when opening doors or unlocking the vehicle

I've found a replacement but it's off of an 07 with only 2 lights where mine has 3

I'm guessing that it will just swop out no problem but wanted some reassurance before biting the bullet

Cheers in advance

Its just a way of life.

Mine was like that when I bought the car. I found on the circuit board a burnt out bit, but was easily fixed. It's wedged on open doors now so I can't change it to the fixed on position but it's never really been a problem. Have a look at yours if you want to save some money  :happy2:

It will fit ok.  I had to replace mine as the switch on the pcb was knackered but the replacement only had the two outside lights. The metal connections were there for the long centre one so I just bent them into place and fitted the bulb
