Cottage/lodge With hot tub
« on: June 04, 2014, 01:27:21 am »
Looking at a short break at the end of July and want a cottage/lodge with a hot tub. There's loads to choose form but looking for personal experiences of any?

Anyone got one they would recommend?

Cheers!

Any particular area your looking? My colleagues Dad has a few in the Bath area. I've stayed at one and it was very nice.

Spent a week last September in a Golden Oak cabin in the Sherwood Forest park (http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/)..

Golden Oak (and Silver Birch I think) cabins all have private hot tubs, and it was quite an experience to be in the middle of the forest when you're chilling out in the tub

Fairly basic facilities at the site itself, but lots to do in the surrounding area. Not a cheep holiday but would definitely go again, but probably try a different park.

This place is near me in the Yorkshire Dales, if walking and suchlike is your thing.

Not all have hot tubs, but they're listed under each lodge which ones have or have not.

Don't care about price, location, views, local amenities?  Just the hot tub?

Ah, you must be swingers!

I've used Forest Holidays a couple of times and am going to another of their sites in a couple of weeks.  They have become quite expensive over the last couple of years though - www.forestholidays.co.uk.

I've got a few nights here in August after my wedding: http://www.maengwyneddlogcabins.co.uk/index.html A friend has been and said they're really in the middle of nowhere so perfect for relaxation.

FOR SALE!

This place is stunning, all built by the two brothers that own it, Dave and Sam Cullen, cracking fella's. If you search ebay they sometimes sell short breaks of on there .

Dave and Sam only do what Viv and Michelle tell them to though. It'd be a brave man who defied Viv's orders I reckon.  :signLOL:
