Yes RR squeezed these in (Merlin Motorsport) behind the grille and conected to Forge SHV2-63 V2 Ducting. Seem to work OK, I haven't  cracked another disc yet :happy2:

Neil, you just running ducting into the wheel well via the archliner or across the wishbone to the hib/disc?
Sideways yo!

Yeh just put it through the liner and fixed it with cable ties, I have seen them strapped a lot closer to the disc, I think just getting some air circulating in the arch has got to help with cooling.  :happy2:

Sorry to the OP about the thread deviation but, Neil, how have you attached the Merlinsport vent 'trumpets' to the back of the OSIR vent slots?

Btw, I've read somewhere that airflow into the wheel arches actually improves mpg! < Please correct me someone if I haven't got that quite right.

prob is the dust shield will massively reduce the effect of the heat shield

can you get a pic of this in position in the grill with the ducting please. I like the idea of this, but maybe with a y  ytpe junction so i can get a hose onto air intake as well.

Sy :happy2:

Sorry cant get a pic of it fixed in position, as RR knows the OSIR grilles are a bugger to fit and I ended up fixing mine on with mastic
I had to cut the trumpet about a bit to get it in the opening and its not fixed to the grille just strapped in position directly behind the vent and a jubilee clip to the ducting.
Can you do away with the dust shield? Not sure how much protection it gives now as its smaller than the Brembo disc.

....Do you mean 'stone guard' when you say 'dust shield'? It's not recommended to do away with that plate behind the disc AFAIK.

....It's a pity that OSIR didn't consider their foglight panel and vents in a bit more depth and exploited the possibilities of actually venting some air to ducts more efficiently. A wasted opportunity imo. :sad1:

Yeah, certainly for road use - although removing them/having a modified set for the track is a big advantage.

....Good to know that :happy2:. However, in my case I expect to only do a few trackdays a year and it's not practical for me to do any special prep work, not even tyres, on what is my road car. It's basically a 'Fast Road' car to have (safe and responsible) fun on the road and occasionally track as well. Your background and skills with doing your own stuff to cars enables you to do such things.
