Anyone got ALL buttons working on the mk6 MFSW
« on: June 09, 2014, 11:36:38 am »
As title, has anyone got all buttons working on the mk6 wheel installed in there mk5?

Have heard that you lose 2 functions on it or something along those lines.

Same here, All working minus 2 buttons I believe its the 'Left' and 'Right' Buttons as they have no useable functions. Mine was coded by Eddie NL.

As per Rumple.  Coded by the man himself Eddie NL

The two that don't do anything are highlighted below

To be honest, no idea.  Ed would be best answering this question.  It's never really bothered me at all as I have access to everything I need.  :happy2:

I'm sure if there was the chance they could be utilised with the setup I have Ed work have had them up and running.

There are various compromises to get more buttons working

if your not fused about the red High line MFD displaying NAV and Audio then you can in fact get 10 working like the guys above have listed. (this also depends on what stereo you have)

if you tick BIT 7 (BAP communications) in one of the stereo menus with VCDS you can get 10 working, the phone button will work with the newer BT units but again no display in the High line MFD unless you buy the FIS display unit.

but if you decide to fit a set of white or colour Scirocco clocks you can have all 12 working but you'll loose the light/vision menu and the convenience menu from the white/colour display

if you still want NAV and Audio in the Red high line MFD then you only get 7 working or 8 with BT and fis display.

Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Thanks Simon,

So you mean to get 10 buttons to work I just need to tick 1 box in VCDS? really that simple?

I would like to keep my sat nav on the highline but can lose the audio.

if i lose the Audio on the Highline but keep Nav can i squeeze a few more buttons to work?

oh and what function would the left and right buttons be used for as didn't realise we could scroll across.?

you will loose both nav and audio to get 10 buttons working, not one or the other i'm afraid

do you have a BT unit fitted at all ?

Do you have the FIS display to get the BT in the MFD?

Not that it really matters but unfortunately for you your stuck in a position where you either need more upgrades to white clocks (very hard to get hold of now) or loose the NAV and Audio menu or stick with what you have.

Adding the FIS display module for BT to get it in the red display will allow the phone button to work.
