where does that lead plug into the rcd510?
I don't remember a round socket on the back last time I had it out?

most people use an mdi kit which is prebuilt into the loom

That USB plug you've bought won't work with a European RCD 510, they are only suitable for the Chinese version. You'll need an MDI
