Wolf Burgers GTI
« on: July 29, 2014, 09:27:46 pm »
Hi All,

It's been a slow process over the last year or so but finally started some work on my car.
Gathering the bits you really want is not always easy.

2007 Golf GTI - Manual
Black Pearl
18 inch Monza's
Standard interior

The car after purchase a couple of years ago.

After many messages and dropped hints I finally managed to get hold of the wheels that I wanted. Some may recognise these.
Having collected the wheels from one of the forums top men  I went about looking for someone to refurbish them.

Auto Therapy in Doncaster did the refurbishment and diamond cut them to remove a couple of crunch marks and also managed to remedy a slight buckle.
Expensive but worth while. Had considered powder coating but am happy with the route that I chose.

Wheels back after being diamond cut and re finished.

Next up are the obligatory H&R springs to get the ride height at what it should be.
These feel pretty much standard if not slightly stiffer but the ride and handling is excellent

Often when modifying cars in the past I have finished up dong many things several times before I am satisfied with the outcome.
The help and advice I have received from people on here has been invaluable and I would like to thank the people who helped me.
In particular Monte. A true Gent.

Anyway here's where I am at so far.

Next to fit are some H&R ARB's when they arrive next month.
Also looking at maybe a R32 rear end

Thanks Wolf Burger

Nice work man. There's a set of H&R anti roll bars for sale on here already, speak to N8KOW.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Looks good with the h&r springs...are you running standard dampers?

Yes Wodder all standard at the moment.
Sits how I wanted it to look. A slight tweak from standard but still OEM

Just waiting on those breaks now

Been to see Paul in Mansfield today about having a full paint correction.
He's an old customer of mine from years ago. Nice chap.

Speaks very highly of you!!

Bit stiffer but not ridiculous. Even with the 19 inch Monzas it's fine.

Also no rubbing!!
