Side Mirrors - HELP
« on: June 16, 2014, 02:21:23 pm »
Hi All,

Right, got a wee problem, i changed my steering wheel over to the mk6 wheel and since then my side mirrors have a mind of there own.

when I swapped the wheels over the mirrors kept moving by themselves. this has now resolved itself, but now the issue is the control switch.

When I adjust the right mirror, both mirrors move, but when i adjust the left it works as it should and only the left moves.

Anyone able to shed some light?

My golf has had the same issue since I bought it and as far as I know it hasn't had the wheel replaced.

It's a coding issues.

If you've got a high-line cluster it's a simple tick box if not it's VCDS To recode.

Tick box where in the highline.

If using VCDS what should the coding be?

Both moving together is actually a feature helps you get the left hand one close apparently. My 05 golf has done it since I had it.
