Had the gti dyno'd :(
« on: June 14, 2014, 07:35:18 pm »
Well had the car dynod today at ecotune in hillington glasgow and car only made 249bhp and 258ftlbs torque
Mods are autotech induction kit, 3"decat downpipe and backbox delete and stage 2 remap these figures seem low to me especially torque is this due to a bad map? Or is there an underlying fault if so what might it be
Can follower and diverter valve recently changed

Do you mean ecotune map?  What did they say about it? Surprised if they let you leave with low figures and AFR like that.

It's very difficult to set a car up properly without doing any logging on either the Dyno or the road so it sounds like a generic map which most likely isn't tailored to your exact hardware setup.

Or maybe It could be a faulty sensor that's causing it to over fuel??

Either way, it's best taking it to a specialist tuner who works with TFSIs all day and see what they say  :happy2:

What about getting a Revo map, and an SPS switch so you can tweak your setting on the fly?

Was just wondering if there could be any underlying problems or if it's just a dodgy map cos the torque seems pretty low

It looks like a poor map to me , take it back tell them your not happy with it give them a chance to sort it , if not get a refund and go else where for a proper proven remap

Very poor if they remapped without a dyno run, no way of checking the settings.

I don't think "settings" come into it - settings are only relevant to Revo maps where you can adjust 5 parameters in the map.

It's about logging the sensors to see how the car is performing with the map it has been given  :happy2:

I knew what I meant at least... :P

Seriously look into a Revo map and switch, the idea of being able to switch between stock and mapped modes, as well as a security feature is awesome.

Wouldn't go flashing different files on before checking there isn't an underlying issue
