Wheel opinions
« on: December 01, 2014, 07:52:37 pm »
As of Wednesday next week I will have started a new job and am planning on some new wheels, I would love some CH reps, but I'm torn between those or the scirocco wheels... Any other Spanners in the works would be most welcome!

Looking for some BBS CH/LM Reps to swap for my Classix plus cash your way:

good VAG wheels will outlast most REPS , stronger and a better more long lasting paint finish

original every time for me

A very fair point Carpy.
Was thinking more towards the look rather than quality and finish.

Reps are pretty decent to be fair, its not like they're going to melt or rust. Obviously they're not of the same quality as the ones from the BBS factory but of you're on a budget I would get the reps and not be worried about them.

However there are quite a few sets of genuine CH's out there so you can normally find a second hand set for a fair price.

To be fair I've seen plenty of cracked OEM wheels from lots of makers my mate Segan's had one wheel welded four times and another welded twice, BMW wheels are renowned for cracking on the inside and being replaced under warranty, but I've seen mates with REPs pampered and looked after and still buckle and crack too easy , Italian Reps have the better name so at very least avoid Chinese reps

Mercedes OEM wheels have a pretty bad rep to. We had an sl65 with 5000miles in for a wheel refurb, it was only a minor scuff but the wheel needed straightening.
