« on: July 01, 2014, 06:23:44 pm »
is there anything i should be checking before making an over 400 mile round trip? could take it somewhere local for £350 but all you guys recommend R-Tech so its going to be done there.
what factors limit the map is there anything i need to change. i have a 56 plate GTi DSG.

tried the search and it never seems to work for me, thanks in advance  :happy2:

Usual things, had a good service recently, has Oil in it (it does help).

Check PCV, DV, if you search the forum, guides can be found, easy enough to DIY change.

Could also have the pre-cat removed from the exhaust system as this will help with the figures obtained  :happy2:

If DSG, consider having the box mapped, will allow better torque result, as the box can limit the torque outcome.

Get the cam follower changed as this is a must! If cam follower is worn out fuelling cannot be adjusted and cannot be mapped.
