Exactly... It's certainly a kick in the teeth for anyone that had one ordered on what they thought was a genuine 'personal' lease and the early adopters who's cars were financed via independent brokers still have cars delivered/being delivered, seems the latest round of insanely cheap deals are all financed via VWFS and they've pulled the plug on the personal leases...

Leaseyoufnextcar.com have pulled personal lease already on the R and taken the mileage on the GTD down to 5k pa! Like you'd own a diesel to do 5k miles a year.

When I saw the deals available on the new R my immediate thought was "they're going to sell loads of those and the residuals won't be as good as they hope they'll be" most of the deals were at 5k miles a year and if you upped it to 10k the price shot right up, there was a few people who saw a loophole where the excess mileage charges on a 5k deal were still so much cheaper than going for a higher mileage one.

Absolutely right on that mate, if you took a 5k mile deal and doubled the milage, it would only cost 300/year to pay excess milage charge. Whereas the 10k miles quotes were way way way more than that per year
