MK5 Golf 1.6 Fsi SE

Welcome to my build. Basically I'm 19 was looking at GTi/R32 but due to age was ridiculous to insure so brought a 1.6Se Fsi and really pleased with it! Had the car about a month now & payday couldn't come any sooner!! Have done little bits and bobs to the car mean while but I'm going to be doing a GTi/R32 rep lucky enough the car come with the R32 alloys so its a start.

Lots of stuff coming in the next few months but heres what i have done at the moment!

New car

- Fitted LED's all around

- HID's & Matte black badges

- Tinted rear lights R32 style

- Rear boot badge

- Fitted parking sensors

- 40mm drop

Also
  • Painted calipers red
  • Dewipered rear

UPDATES

Refurbished alloys & tinted windows

Also scrapped the matte black ad switched it to gloss black so all badges are now gloss black & wing mirrors.

Looking good mate!  :happy2:

What did you use to do the rear lights? Do they still maintain that glossy look?
Looking for some BBS CH/LM Reps to swap for my Classix plus cash your way:

Bit of a better photo of how the car stands. This was after my little clean up before winter session last Sunday.

Hopefully getting the edition 30 rear bumper today or tomorrow just waiting for the guy to get back to me. Finger crossed so there should hopefully be more updates this side of Christmas. Also the cars booked in for a remap for the start of December so looking forward to next month!!!

UPDATE.

Unfortunately the guy wouldn't ship the ED30 bumpers so thats out the window for the time being.

Got the car mapped pushing about 130BHP atm which im happy with. The cars pulling in every gear nicely & petrols hardly moving.

Upgraded my stereo to the RNS500 replica W/ NAV, DVD, BT etc.

Going to give the insides a clean this weekend... Also going to try and fix the passenger seat not pulling forward when tilted & going to get rid of the spare wheel.

Looking good, from another 1.6 FSI owner haha :happy2:
Reckon the remap was worth the money?
Have been thinking about it recently but don't wanna lose MPG, and don't know if there's a noticeable power difference. :signLOL:

Great to see another 1.6er haha

To be honest I love the remap. The car pulls so well, feels nippier & the mpg is better even tho I got the performance map! I'd definitely recommend!
