Has many one done a stud conversion on there mk5, is it worth it?

Thought about this last week and bought 50ml of blue Loctite  Googled for 10 minutes without success :signLOL:
 Wheel changing competitions will be a breeze :signLOL:

Not bad quality locitite and correctly torqued.

Alex at AKS did mine. Makes not damaging my big calipers a lot easier  :smiley:

Seen your mike that's what made me think about looking into them a few weeks.

after taking my wheels off a good 4-5 times in 2 months I'm thinking that a stud conversion would be so much easier and also fitting spacers will be a dream.

What brand are yours mate and if you don't mind me asking what did it set you back, I've got around £200 in my head from looking about ?

I'll never say never but I'm quite lucky where I live out in the sticks and we have a fair bit of land so cars not parked in a normal town street where I'd be defo worried. Always enjoy seeing new movies at the cinema and would dread some sh*t head pinching a TD  :fighting: tough one isn't it ...

Maybe a daft question but Is the conversion irreversible or can it be taken out when the time comes to sell up

You should be able to take out the studs if you decide to remove them.

That's good then, thought maybe the loctite may cause damage or mess the threads up when removed from the hub.

Wouldn't mind a stud conversion with 15 rear and 10 front spacers, She'd look mean  :evilgrin:

Life would be so easy taking wheels off too.

A cheaper alternative is the 2 studs you can screw in when fitting your wheels. There are some with Porsche part numbers & some that I believe come with the spare wheel kit on some TTs?
