Single exhaust tip
« on: June 25, 2014, 09:56:02 pm »
Any one got a single exit exhaust tip rather than the oem twin tips / miltek gt80

I know a oval exit would fit the valance better but never seen a single tip before on a mk5

We mocked one up once to give it the Cupra look - personally thought it looked superb. :happy2:

I was thinking this exact same thing the other day. I didn't dare create a post about it

Would a single round tip look daft? Like a diagonal slash cut so it matches the valance

No doubt I will get shot down here but I've always thought this sort of tip would look good. Obviously without the bazooka attached to it.

yeah single tip IMO will look stupid. Civics have ruined that look.

I personally dont think it would look that bad, oval exit would be a better fit/look compared to a jap style dustbin

satin black too so it doesnt stand out to much

I just like think they look more aggressive.

No doubt I'll be going for the bcs 80mm twin tips anyway

I have a mk2 cupra 3" cobra exhaust for sale in the for sale section if a anyone's interested.

It will also fit a mk5 golf with slight mid to the tailpipe (it just needs shortening).... Any good exhaust building company will be able to sort it

It has a single 3.5" inward rolled slash cut tip..... Me personally I prefer a single tip to the twin set up!!

Diesel cars have ruined the twin look for me as every diesel has a twin tail pipe these days

Next Gti we get in for a fit - we'll mock up the oval tail pipe trim...
Personally I think it should look quite good, and of course it gives us another option (...like we need more dooooh !)
Cheers
