Lack of boost / hesitation at WOT
« on: January 30, 2014, 05:05:27 pm »
Noticed recently the car hesitates and dosn't pull at wide open throttle, sometimes it's ok and sometimes it happens.  No real issues at part load.

Scan with VCDS comes up with.

Prior to a scan I initially thought it was my DV which was rev G.  Replaced with the same model G and I still have the same issues.  Any ideas if the manifold flap / runners can stick and cause flow restriction at WOT ?

I've seen threads on these codes but didn't know if the running issues I'd experienced coul be attributed to the manifold runners flaps as sometimes these fault codes don't exactly point you in the right direction.

I've gone through the adaption process and it cleared it but then came back after a long run.

Anyone experienced these problems ?

What spark plugs are you using?

Don't look too bad.  Cylinder 1 (1-4 L to R) looks a tad different to the others so I'll replace them all to try and eliminate issues in this area.  Still doesn't get rid of the manifold flap faults. Just wanted to try and link the flap fault to the issue and didn't know if anyone who'd had this fault had noticed this hesitation at WOT.
