As above, recently notice a whining noise coming from the front when going around roundabouts or pulling out of right hand junctions. It's a mechanical noise, not dissimilar to a gearbox whine but not so severe. Doesn't happen when I go left.

Car seems to be whistling more when accelerating but that might be because I have the window open and am now hearing every noise.
