Newbie with a Tornado Red Gti
« on: July 07, 2014, 03:21:51 pm »
Hello,

I picked up my new car yesterday from a current forum member (wilmott1980)L

I've had a couple of golfs in the past:

Mk3 8v Gti on the day I sold it:

Current 1.8t MK4 which is still on daily duties for a few weeks:

I'll try to keep the MK5 up to date in the projects area!

Dom

Cheers guys  :happy2:

I'll be sad to see the Mk4 go but it's time for a change.

Hey! Manual gearbox wasn't a must but this one came up and looked too good to pass up on. I'm taking the Mk4 to Holland for MIVW at the start of next month, then it'll be going up for sale.

How you getting on with the ED30?

Thanks, it is indeed. A mate owns Only Charged Dubs so sorted me out with a good deal on I.

Welcome.

I'm assuming not as the PCD would be wrong, 8L is 5x100.

D'oh of course. I think they really do look quite well on the Golf and I've never seen it done before.

Welcome.

Are those genuine 8L S3 alloys?

They are Audi s4 Alloys bolted straight on with no spacers. I'm sure dom will sell them to you if you ask nicely.

Welcome Dom. Nice to see you on this forum now. But beware it will cost you a small fortune on here.

Ah, even better! I wasn't too sure about them at first but they've grown on me a lot!

I signed up here when I first started the hunt for a MK5, now I've got one I'm sure I'll be a regular!
