R32 Anti Rattle Clips
« on: July 03, 2014, 03:26:41 pm »
So I had my bigger brakes brakes fitted and decided the unfinished anti rattle clips looked all wrong...

I the bought some others and had them powder coated black...

My question is: Is there a tool to remove and fit these clips and if not is there a method of removing them and fitting them without damaging or scratching the CALIPER and now in this case the clips??

Stick a cable tie round one end when installing and use a screwdriver on the other.  They can hurt a lot if you don't retain them somehow  :happy2:

Result! No paint chips then?  :happy2:

I'll have to pinch the cable tie method as need to fit mine on freshly painted calipers too, any tips lol!

Got a couple small ones when removing the old clips... Cable tie the lower arm tight then put a tie on the upper arm and pull that as far as it can go. Then put another tie on the upper arm and while pulling that tight push the centre inward and it should just pop in place.

Touch up and scuffs and off you go!
