A few new fault codes
« on: July 07, 2014, 10:12:19 pm »
Hi,

I've just bought an 05 plate Gti and gave it a quick scan with Vagcom, after clearing the old codes there are the ones that remained:

Subsystem 1 - Component:   Sounder No Answer

   Subsystem 2 - Part No: 1K0 907 719 B
   Component: Neigungssensor  004 0003

   Subsystem 3 - Part No: 1K0 951 177
   Component: Innenraumueberw.004 0101

1 Fault Found:
01134 - Alarm Horn (H12)
            004 - No Signal/Communication

The alarm horn doesn't sound when the alarm goes off nor when locking/unlocking the car (with chirps enabled), so I'm assuming that the horn needs replacing.

It's the 2 photo sensors that I'm stuck with....any advice would be appreciated

Afaik one sensor is on the windscreen by the rear view mirror and the other on the top center front vent.
Without traction power is nothing!

Cheers, I've had a look at the one on the dash just to make sure it was plugged in (which it was), I'll check the other later. Are the a common thing to fail? Or is it more likely to be a wiring issue?

BTW I remember you/your MK5 from the rolling road day I organised at Carbon Chip Tuning a few years ago - you still got it?
