Revo CAI vs ITG CAI
« on: July 08, 2014, 01:15:19 pm »
Has anyone switched from ITG to Revo? Think MC71 has and prefers the sound of the Revo but was mnore interested if anyone had done any logs to confirm whether the Revo actually flows better or because they are both premium kits are they much of a muchness?

Yeah I've just looked he swapped from a evoms to cam coated revo and gained 9bhp and 20lbft torque that was on a leon cupra if I'm correct!

Highly recommend one I do, just try and get one with the new shape heatshield which is a 'U' shape rather than a hole cutout where the tube passes through as this reduces chances of rubbing which I had on my first and second kit from PSI tuning but Adrian is a top bloke and replaced both kits for the newest kit free of charge!

Hope that helps!

Swapped from ITG to Revo & not sure I felt any difference.

Prefer that there are less joints in the Revo. Prefer the front heat shield and that it comes with a heat resistant coating  :happy2:

i only changed to benefit from the ceramic coating to aid cooling

This is making me want to rip out my APR carbon intake and K&N filter and put a Revo intake on. Combined with the War of the Brakes thread and an offer from AmD Tuning with Bilstein suspension, I'm pretty much broke before I've been paid.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Revo have released the newer version of the intake, they told us it gives a better flow compared to the original one but I can't see how as the diameters seem to be the same as the original one. Only thing that looks different to me is the black plastic heat shield thingy.
