AA/RAC Inspection or/and Vagcom
« on: July 08, 2014, 02:35:02 pm »
Looking for a bit of advice as i am on the look out for a Mk5 GTi at the moment.

As i am willing to travel for the right car i am wondering what everyones thoughts are on an inspection of a GTi.  Would i be best getting the AA or RAC to carry out one of their comprehensive check overs of the car (i am told they will run a check for error codes) or forget that and hopefully find a helpful person with Vagcom to run a check on the car instead?  Or both?

The reason i was thinking of the AA/RAC route is that i can get them to check the car before i go travelling hundreds of miles to see a car that could have been mistreated for example.

Thanks for your help.
