Hi guys,

Well this is the first week of ownership, I'm looking to continue the work Gadget did to the car, but before I get the credit card out I could do with the input of all that has had any of the modifications I plan done so I know if its worth while, if ppl would suggewst a differnet route...etc...

The mods I plan over the next few weeks are...

1) BSH PCV Stage 2 Fix Catch Can System - Does it really help?! Any gains?!
2) DSG Remap - Going from Hurdy this is a MUST!
3) Milltek Downpipe and Cat with new Map - Power Different I will see?! Sound different?!
4) High Pressure Fuel Pump - Apparently not required till Stage 2+?!

The car at the moment is what APS call there stage 2...Map, Performance Filter, Cat-Back! So realistically, what should I do next?! Stage 3 for APS, would be a new map and the rest of the Exhaust (would this be where i'd require the HPFP?! or is this if I go over this)...

Thanks in advance for all your help...

1) BSH PCV Stage 2 Fix Catch Can System - Does it really help?! Any gains?!

Will cure the problematic tfsi oem pcv and help keep things cleaner

2) DSG Remap - Going from Hurdy this is a MUST!

If its a dsg car then yes a dsg map :) lol i would recommend REVO

3) Milltek Downpipe and Cat with new Map - Power Different I will see?! Sound different?!

When adding a downpipe and exhaust you usually couple with with a stage 2 map, the sound will defo change with this mod, less backpressure means different grunt

4) High Pressure Fuel Pump - Apparently not required till Stage 2+?!

If you want to take things further then the pump can help push in more fuel at a higher rate in the midrange resulting in more powaaah ! however you will also need a cold air intake, maybe an intercooler upgrade and possibly a new diverter valve.

I havn't heard of APS? do they have any info online about their maps?

Hurdy:
Well,

1. Helps stop boost leakage, doesn't add power. Needs emptying regularly.
2. It is a must - get down to Statllers and tell them I sent you :happy2:
3. Milltek/ aftermarket full turbo-back exhaust is a very good option. It helps the engine rev freer and frees up some extra horsies through the whole rev band. If you like a loud zorst, go for non-resonated. If you like it a little quieter, go for a resonated one. If you like, you can pop over to mine and I'll take you for that spin I promised and you can listen to a resonated system and check out the power from the REVO at stage 2+.
4. You will not see much benefit from a HPFP unless you map the car to utilise it. Again Statllers have them in stock at about £300 and £50 fitting.

If you wanted to stick with APS and go stage 3 you would require the HPFP, a full intake and a full turbo-back exhaust to get the most benefit. To keep it all cool you would also be wise to invest in either a THS intercooler or a Forge FMIC. :happy2:

HTH

PURCHASED  :happy2:

This is going to be my first real spend!

Problem I have at the moment is the fact I'll end up spending lots more money haha, if I get the Downpipe + Cat to bolt on to the existing Cat-Back I'll definatly require another map...need to get this RR'd see what is kicking out already ;)

Sounds like a lot of money involved hahaha

Any ideas on Cost?! Rang them, Main guy isnt there so no price :(

Got the Non-Res Cat-Back on the car, so will just get a Downpipe and Cat to finish the system off I think ;) Just need to see the costs involved in mapping it again!!!

I was only really looking to stay at Stage 2...With a Non-Res Turbo Back Milly and DSG Map! Anything else I need?!
