Took a mk7 Golf R out last night..........
« on: August 21, 2014, 08:36:23 am »
It really is a great car, quick, lots of grip, comfortable and a great cruiser when you want it to be but........

OMG, there is nothin' like a 300bhp, 4wd, launch control start!!

It sounds FANTASTIC and gives such a great sensation of speed......It was just brilliant.

The Haldex on the 7R is better than the 6R so a 495bhp 7R should launch better

His haldex controller will help a lot, but the latest Haldex puts more power back

And can shift power side to side with the XDS+

I don't know what wizardry they use and to be honest I'm not really bothered all I remember is the massive smile that appeared on my face every time I did it!!! And the sound it makes.

Tried it in the CC this morning.......Oh dear.  :sad1:

Just about to get the DSG apr software onto mine 6R the launch control at stage 2+ is estimated at sub 4s to 60 which is bloody quick. Rpm at launch control will be lifted to 4k (prob safer than going any higher)I know the 7R is superior to the 6R pointless if not. Haven't had chance to have a rude in one yet but look forward to it  :happy2:

Hi Sug, the 7R sits around 4000rpm for lift off. No wheel spin, no fuss, it just goes. Like a ROCKET!
You're going to love it in yours!

Yes pal and might as well get it nxt week whilst the sale is on. There is so many options to choose from. Will make D more driveable changing at 2.5k revs changes a lot quicker don't see how but people say they do and torque limit is lifted. Few other options which slip my mind also. That's it for me as regard to upgrade will be saving for next car. Cheers

Yeh think I can remember reading that myself. I don't do
A lot of launches prob done 5 In the year I've had it basically showing mate how it's done. Sport mode with traction off will embarrass most cars from the lights
