Highline welcome message

My brothers golf gt tdi has a factory highline cluster and when he turns on the ignition he gets message come up
Something like 'welcome  to vw etc' I've just had a highline cluster fitted is it possible to get this on my cluster or not?

Thats interesting, what determines the message appearing? Later clusters?

Yeah they started fitting them middle of 2006 for the 07MY, it briefly displays 'Volkswagen Information System' at startup. Similar to the 'Welcome to Volkswagen' message you get on the Nav screen of the later RNS systems.

Fair play nothing to get excited about I suppose but I had noticed the message in a few google pics. I thought it.probably due to Polar Fis or something on those lines!

Just seen the image. I've also seen the vw logo on screen. Thats what I was referring to.

Yeah that's what is says 'Volkswagen information system' his car is a 2007 so there's no way I can get that showing on my cluster?
