Revo stage 1 problems.
« on: July 15, 2014, 12:18:07 pm »
Right had stage 1 map installed on Saturday and this morning on the motorway the car seems to have gone into limp mode. Firstly the esp and skidding car lights came on and now the engine light aswell. I know it could be many things and need to get it scanned but just wondered if anyone else has had this sort of issue?

Getting it scanned where it was mapped tomorrow. Not sure it's throttle body as it just seems there's no boost! Everything else is running ok.

Have you tried it without the map?

But it does sound like TB mate :(  It won't boost properly when it's knackered - you'd definitely get it scanned before changing it though, as they ain't cheap... replace with Rev Q or newer (eBay between £70-£100), new I think they are about £300+VAT+Fitting.

But defo. get a member to scan it for some beer tokens, where abouts are you? :happy2:

Great! More money lol. Coincidence or a result of mapping? Should be able to fit it myself should I need to.

Yeah, it's a DIY but just a bit tricky getting to all the heads with its location - or maybe it was just my pork fingers. :ashamed:

Is 06f133062q the correct part number? If so there's one on ebay for £35  :happy2:

The one I'm looking at is listed for an audi a5 but I suppose they are the same aren't they?

Yeah no worries, mine was from an Audi TT.
I'd still have it scanned before buying, but with the serious reduction in power and the traffic lights on the dash, it's more than likely that.

Nice one, hope you get it sorted, and if it's all done for £35 and some scrapped fingers that's a serious saving. :happy2:
