Depends if you've got a KO3 (normal gti) or a KO4 (ed30)

I've just rang my dealer to get the G version and was told they only do a D now?? As it's superseded
EDITION 30 GONE, MK6 R GONE........AUDI 8V S3.....Stock for now

My dealer told me the same thing. I bought one from http://www.germanautopartsdirect.co.uk/index.html for about £40.

No worries they have ordered one in from somwhere else. Got a new oem Pcv as well for piece of mind.

Having changed/checked mine (KO3) by scrambling around underneath and by going in through side, I recon its much easier to remove the wheel, unscrew the wheel arch shield and there it is in front of you!
And when you have the shield off you can remove the accumulated mud and leaves from the wheel arch as well. A coat of waxoil on the exposed surfaces and all good for another year or 2.
I could do the job in 1/2 hr now I know where all the screws and fixings are.

Fitted mine today, WOW, what a difference!

I had a pencil sized hold in mine, but it is a completely different car now, best £40 I have spent in ages.

Was told by VW they only do the G now.

I am no mechanic by any means, its not hard, just fiddly being under the car with not huge room to work in, but ultimately its just 3 X5 mm allen key bolts and a clip. Practice on a clip in the engine bay before hand, makes it much easier under the car.

Those who haven't checked, do it, feels like it has 30BHP more than before
