Aftermarket Xenons beam pattern
« on: July 20, 2014, 03:25:16 pm »
I got some aftermarket Xenons and have to dark blind spots in middle of road that extends for about 5 metres (if lights are fully levelled up) I managed to flip the h7 bulbs by bending the metal surround abit but now iv got the opposite it's really focused... Will this be my bulbs or the depo headlights

Here is the dark spots

Cheers

My beam pattern is similar and i have H7 bulbs.

Thanks. So you have the same shadow-stripes?
If so, it must be the ground return wire on the bulbs. It's in the wrong location.
Maybe we can do the ' 6 o'clock mod '?:
Example with a plastic socket (I have a steel socket)

the random black spots are caused by the ceramic hid earth connection that runs down the side of the hid bulb

the 6 oclock mod basically adjusts how the bulb sits in the headlight by rotating it moving the black spot somewhere else.

you will have to look where to make the new tab as it may be different in your lights

Off topic but where did you buy your depos from?
Do they have shutters and motors?
Thanks
