Damn boot is smaller than the 8P version that's for sure! Clubs went fine into the red one but needed seats folding in my grey one!   :stupid:

I found that in the 8P3 compared with my MK5 GTI Lee, surely it hasn't got worse...  :sad1:  :fighting:

Yes it has... Golf GTI boot was big in comparison! Floor has been raised in the 8V so not as deep, and rear seats gone back a bit to increase leg room, so sacrificing essential golf club space in the boot  :fighting:

And you have to say with those alloys Wiggers Snr has opted for it doesn't look that different to the motorway bashing S Line TDIs out there

Here was my demo with those wheels

F**king genius. Thought Audi's were at home at the golf club    ....

And ^^ definitely looks too subtle IMO with the same wheels, I had to stare that pic for ages to work out the bumpers weren't S3 kit. Don't even think the silver finish mirrors are as distinctive these days.

Tbh it depends what colour combo you go for, if you want your S3 to stand out then colours like sepang blue will do that for you. Mine gets loads of attention everywhere it goes, people are always asking about it.

Had a go in it.

Does everything you'd expect. Very quick, feels much more controlled and stable than my Ed30. Steering is nice and direct, goes exactly where you point it. Exhaust farts sounds great. The ride is very very good. Its much less 'audi stiff' that previous audis I have driven. Compliant but still nice and 'tight'

More tech. than you can shake a stick at. ACC is really great, as is the incredibly advanced satnav.

Would I have one? Yes.

Can I afford one? No.  :signLOL:

Is there now more weight in it, or is it still lacking feel and too numb like every Audi previous?

The new S3 Saloon is a BEAUTIFUL looking car IMO, I would have ordered one of those over my Golf R. BUT at the time the lead was 7/8 months and it was looking like £200 a more a month which was ALOT. The Golf R has ALOT of spec as standard like adaptive cruise, which is £795 on the S3?

The interior on the S3 is beautiful IMO, it does feel different league to the Golf. BUT it's more money, I'm happy I've chosen the Golf this time round, hopefully the RS3 will be the one to look out for, with the 5 pot and hopefully 370bhp+

Troo-dat Nath  :indifferent:

Audi are robbing bast*ds compared to the equiv market hit VW's. There's kit that A6's and A7's don't have (little fiddly cool stuff, that you WANT) that bluemotion Golf's had/have  :chicken:
