Back, looking for DSG TDI , need info on warranty
« on: July 21, 2014, 02:34:30 pm »
Hi All,

Back on the forum now after selling my Manual tdi and gti. I am looking to buy a DSG TDI in a few months and slowly gathering upgrade parts and had a few questions:

I was wondering if there is a specific part number for highline clocks for a DSG as there is a line at the bottom with  P R N D S, I bought a set of 1K0920973B clocks, would this show the P R N D S, or do I need another version?

Also got a MFSW with paddles on order, will it work with 973 clocks?

Another thing I wanted advice about is warranties as I have heard a few things about DSG gearboxes failing??

Manual isn't an option for me anymore due to knee surgery and at same time cant get enough of MK5's

Many thanks in advance.

Hey Eddie,

I knew you would respond :) I will give you a shout when needing fitting, however I dont have the SKC for the highline clocks, would that be a problem?

You need just current skc for clocks..as new clocks will adapt to that value..more at ross tech

awesome!

Anyone have advice on Warranty? Where to go to? Would DSG gearbox be covered if something was to go wrong?

sorry but that won't work with used clocks

you also need to be able to read the skc from your car

I read around that the clocks may need to be opened up for the skc of the new clocks.  Eddie I will leave it to you. Ive coded 971 clocks before but 973/4 is a different game .

Vag commander can get the skc pin off immo..yeah the immo circuit its bit more tricky..

Hey Eddie how about ecu with disabled immo4 can you fit tacho from scirrocco with immo4c or it needs to be immo4
And how to adapt that?

I got skc for clocks etc..
