I was told a while back that a bankers draft is nothing more than a glorified cheque, it can still bounce or be returned even if it's legit, as the monies are transferred into a holding account once a bankers draft has been made out ,but this isn't instant, so the account holder could then make a transaction this taking his account under the said amount the bankers draft has been made out for , then making it bounce.

No news, apart from the police being utterly useless from the sounds of it.

That's cause they're not getting a revenue from it.
Bet they'd be on the case if it was non payment of fines etc... or non payment of council tax which isn't even against the law lol.

Genuine BD cannot bounce , it is from the bank itself and not the account holder .

To find a car you keep your eyes open for it , if you don't see it how do you find it ? What else do you expect the Police to do ?

Not always true . Bankers drafts can have a stop applied if lost or stolen after being issued.

They are a revenue, that's why they are always dreaming up new ways to fine (tax) us.
They are so busy bringing in revenue they have less time to solve actual crimes...
I expect them to be pro-active...
