Mk5 GTI thermostat
« on: July 21, 2014, 10:56:36 pm »
Hi all,
Is the thermostat replacement part of service intervals ( recommended age and mileage ) or when it is faulty only?

I'm going to do cambelt and water pump but not sure if the thermostat replacement is necessary ? Car is 2008 and done around 16,000 miles

Martin is right. It's not a consumable

It's a pig of a job to do as well. If it's working fine then leave it alone  :happy2:
