Fitting new PCV - new check valve required?

I'm getting some 'new PCV required' symptoms, and have got a new one, plus gasket ready to fit. (Bit down on power, bit lumpy when first started and no difference when dip stick removed.)
I've read various post about it and am a bit confused - do I need to fit, or is it wise to fit at the same time - an new 'check valve and pipe' as mentioned?

06F 129 101 G for the New breather valve PCV
06F 103 215 A for the pipe with checkvalve
06F 103 483 E for the Gasket


BTW I have checked the DV - Rev G and its fine.

If you are going to install the latest front pcv then you will need to use the rear pcv pipe with a check valve.

If you are swapping like for like front pcv then changing the rear pcv pipe shouldn't be needed unless of course it hasn't developed a crack (apparently they are prone to do so over time).

I have the cover off now - The current PVC is dated 28.07.05 (can't see any other numbers) so I guess that's original
The new one has number V06F 129 101 N - that must be the latest revision?

Where is the rear PCV pipe please?
And  what is the correct number for pipe and check valve?

The rear pcv pipe is attached between this rubber hose and your turbo. It's a bit of a bugg*r to change without dropping one of the bolts that attaches the pcv tube to the turbo inlet. You will also need a new oem hose clamp or you can use a jubilee clip like in the pic below.

P/n for latest rear pcv pipe with check valve is 06F103215B



It may be cheaper (probably) to buy the full kit like from http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golfmk5/ecs-oem-breather-update-kit-mk5-gti-pas-b6-jetta-2-0t but that kit seems to not include the rear metal gasket that fits between the turbo and rear pcv pipe p/n 06F 145 757 F

Thanks for the info Bacillus, very clear.

Sooo I fitted just the PCV V06F 129 101 N (whatever revision that is!) and thought, it only took a few minutes, I'll see what happens.
Car started no problem, idles perfectly, picks up much better and seems to have found quite a few missing horses!
Unless I'm missing something, it looks like that was all I needed.
