Wheel Brushes....
« on: October 29, 2009, 09:07:19 am »
....

If someone told me 6 months ago that I'd be posting a thread about a wheel brush, I'd have said "No waaaay!!"

So, the only one I have heard of (thanx Jay) is a Swissvax. Any other recommendations please? And how are they used, in the shampoo-ing stage?

^ I need to get into the nooks and crannies - You can see it around the valve and where spokes turn into the rim.

Many Thanx :drinking:

i would suggest the EZ one over the megs one also, seems to last a little longer. and the tip on the megs one has been known to fall off, exposing metal, so just be careful.

it is a bit cheaper, and you can buy in from halfords easy enough

This one for me together with a normal sponge in the front of the rim. The Vikan is particularly good for back of rim through the spokes!  :happy2:

....The OZ Alleggerita's spoke backs can easily be reached with a washmitt. I only need a small brush for the tighter parts where the spokes join the rim. I've been buying other stuff from cleanyourcar.co.uk so I'll get the EZ Mini brush.

I use a proper alloy wheel brush for the alloy and a swisswax-style brush for the spokes/faces etc.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
