Car Value????
« on: July 28, 2014, 09:08:10 pm »
Hi All,

Getting really fed up with the niggly issues that keep happening with my car and even though most(apart form the engine failure) are maybe wear and tear I am starting to lose confidence in it and especially when applying power.

So not sure if this is the right section but wondered what peoples opinions are on what it is worth:

2007 VW GOLF MK5 1.4 GT Sport TSI 170bhp
Tornado Red
3 Door

Brand new Engine fitted about 6 months ago due to old engine suffering from piston damage so new replacement straight from VW - Only done around 5k on this engine. New water pump fitted at the same time

FSH
65k Miles
Due for MOT and Service in August
18" Monza Rep's sprayed black but wheels were badly scuffed when bought and tyre got good tread but quite noisy
Grey Fabric Seating
Heated front seats
Black Front and Rear Badges
De-badged
Rear Brake Discs and Pads recently replaced
Fronts likely due for replacement
GTI rear bumper fitted

Inside and Outside of car in really good condition apart from the odd stone chips and inside just need a good valet

Paid just under 7k for it about yr ago so maybe thinking between 5600-5800

Probably around about £5500. Put it back to the stock wheels if you've still got them and sell the monzas separately. Might be worth sticking a years MOT on it also if it's likely to pass

That is not bad as was thinking around £5.5k.

Don't have the stock wheels and the Monzas are reps and were badly scuffed and white worm when I bought them as really only got them as an experiment to do a refurb and respray which I was happy with but was a rush so not perfect by any means.

It is due a Service and MOT next month so might list and if people being put off by the lack of MOT and Service then may put it through and re-list.
