My Candy White Edition 30 GTI
« on: July 30, 2014, 09:59:36 am »
Been meaning to upload some photos of this for a while.

Sold my Polo GTI at the end of June.

Didn't know what to buy, but soon narrowed my choices down to a BMW z4, Leon Cupra or an Edition 30.  I finally decided and found a silver Edition 30 in a VW dealer in Newcastle. Deal seemed awesome, so payed the deposit straight away, and arranged the pick up date. After this was confirmed I booked  flights/ferries etc, to be called two days before I was due to go over to be told they wouldn't be able to sell me the car any more. This really shafted me, as I was now out of pocket almost 500 pound. I then found a local Edition 30 in Candy white, with 64k, full VW service history.

Car came with Coilovers, the rear valance painted and some front tint.

And some photos of it being practical. Didn't want to use a roof-rack on this, but it had to be done unfortunately.

Out for a drive last Friday night, and a Coilpack went. So friend who works in TPS got me some Audi R8 Coilpacks, for almost the same price as the standard ones. Then found a second hand Revo Intake about 20 miles from me, so picked it up the other night, then going for a stage 1 Revo map tonight. Also stuck the 911 oil/coolant caps I had on the polo on.

Plans for now are to try and stop myself going stage 2 before next summer.

Wheel spacers all round, thinking 10mm Front/15mm Rear. Will need new tyres in the next few months so will possibly drop down a size.

PCV Delete, change the diverter valve.

RCD 310/510

Are those R8 Coil packs   or are all the Eddy one red like that?

Car looks amazing though, so did the Polo.

Brakes next after that map.

Two great cars there, Polo looked ace.

What brakes do people go for? Are s3 breaks much of an upgrade? Or would you be better going for better ones?

S3 brakes are notably better and can be further improved with better pads, fluid & lines.

Depends how far you want to go with the power

Thanks guys

Just got a Revo Stage 1 Map on the car. Completely transforms the car. So happy with it.

Been advised to go for some uprated spark plugs, diverter valve and a PCV delete. So hopefully get these ordered in the next few days.

Particularly special shot this one  :happy2:

Car looks spot on, the CW 3door Edition 30's have barely aged for me. Don't look like two previous generations at all
