Sourcing genuine side skirts. VW Dealer or TPS?
« on: July 31, 2014, 01:34:40 pm »
Hi Guys,

I'm going to try to get some side skirts and the relevant fitting kit for my golf this week, is it easier to get these from TPS or a VW Dealer, I haven't used TPS before do I need an account or anything like that?

Also are they still roughly £35 per side?

Thanks,

Dave

Depends on your local TPS. Manchester / Stockport ones seem fine to sell to the general public. I think i paid £38 each a few years ago. I never used the fitting kit. Just a screw either end and something like tiger seal

Cool, cheers, might be just worth giving TPS a call then, I think my local one is Yeovil so I'll ask and pop down on Saturday, its just I drive past my local VW Dealer every day.

Are these for the standard GTI sides? Any idea on the ED30/R32 Smooth sides? Or how much it costs to get the GTI sides smoothed and painted?

Get a good body shop to smooth off the textured plastic ones. Iv had that done and looks the same, apart from that line near the front or back isnt it?
