Noobie. Retrofit MFSW controls
« on: June 10, 2014, 10:33:06 am »
Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me. I just got a 09 golf gti mark v with NO steering wheel controls or paddles. What do I need to do to get steering wheel controls for my stereo?

Afaik you cannot retrofit the controls on the mk5. The steering wheel is physically different in order to accommodate the control modules.

Replace steering wheel with one with controls and replace the module underneath the steering wheel
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

So is that it then, just buy a gti wheel and module and that is that... No reprogramming needed?

You would need a highline steering wheel controller and then program the car with vcds.
