Leather seats swapped to cloth - possible?

So,

Got my GTI with leather interior with heated front seats but would honestly prefer the standard GTI cloth seats!  :stupid:

How easy is it to change to the cloth seats on a 5 door? How do heated cloth seats work - do the donor seats have to have the heated functionality built in?

I'd ideally look to find someone that is willing to swap with me in Northern Ireland. Should I expect money my way and if so, how much? Tried to price them on eBay but couldn't see an average price for either.

I would be wanting to swap door cards. Perhaps swap the central leather arm rest too, but if the donor car does not have this, then I'll stick with the leather arm rest!

Am I mad doing this or is this pretty normal? I thought I'd like leather, but found I don't :(

Usually leather attracts a premium however heated tartan interiors seem to be popular. ur not the only one whos gone from leather to fabric.
I like leather but I also like the pattern on the fabric. Ed30 seats would be ideal but they are big bucks.
Price is completely dependant on the condition entirely.
